BioChemistry – Lecture 10 (Final)

Friday, July 21st, 2006

Like the mid-term, the BioChem final is not as hard as it should be. It’s slightly more challenging I suppose, with wordier problems, but then again, there wasn’t a lot of material covered since the midterm. So, let’s just party down with a video to celebrate the end of EXCEL BioChem!

BioChemistry – Lecture 09

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

Today was the last EXCEL lecture on Biochemistry! Horrah! Nothing too difficult, just a brief overview on signal transduction and three different pathways taken with epinephrine, insulin, and epidermal growth factor (EGF).

BioChemistry – Lecture 08

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

It was a hot day… 95 during hottest hour! Boston is supposed to be cool year round, what’s happening?! In class, we did citric acid cycle review, then went into lipid metabolism.

BioChemistry – Lecture 06

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Dr Park said we all did very well on the test. But just a moment ago, I looked over at what we’ll be studying over at Drew’s computer, and it’s not going to be so easy.
Lecture Notes
Summary:
We went over the citric acid cycle today… and that’s it. Pyruvate > Acetyl CoA + Oxaloacetate [...]

BioChemistry – Lecture 06 (Mid-Term)

Friday, July 14th, 2006

Midterm exam today. It wasn’t very hard at all – even if it’s fake, it’s too easy.

BioChemistry – Lecture 05

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

Time really flew by today. I didn’t pay much attention since I was fiddling with DNS settings for the domain change abouts. I’m gonna get a new domain! Maybe something better than rodtv.com ~! So… we went back over glycolysis, then went into gluconeogenesis! Nothing to id really

BioChemistry – Lecture 04

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

Ah, the same o stuff… getting it down to a routine now.
Lecture Notes
Summary:
Started off with discussion about various types of carbs, then what they can bind to in regards to proteins and each other. Then we went into glycolysis. Pretty simple stuff and review from DAT, BioChem, even general biology!

BioChemistry – Lecture 03

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

Arizona Ice Tea helped me stay awake I think.
Lecture Notes
Summary:
Recall Michaelis Menten equation, and memorize all amino acids! That’s all.

BioChemistry – Lecture 02

Monday, July 10th, 2006

8 am sure was tough to deal this morning. Went to bed at 1, accidentally set the alarm for 4:30 — I felt as if I got enough sleep though, too bad I just couldn’t stay awake for the class. Maybe it’s because most of the material today was review from Genetics ~!

BioChemistry – Lecture 01

Sunday, July 9th, 2006

Taught by Dr Park
The information taught might be somewhat redundant from undergrad classes, so far the depth isn’t anything we haven’t covered in prior – so not bad at all.
Lecture Notes
Summary:
Went briefly over the component of a mammalian cell, then some very basic general chemistry (acid and bases, bonds and force of attraction, hydrophobicity), and [...]
