Harry Potter

I just finished reading the seventh and final installation of Harry Potter. I first picked up the series about three years ago after hearing so much hoohaas about it ~ I decided to read them at my leisure on my iPAQ PocketPC. Yes, I read all the Harry Potters that existed back then, on a tiny PDA screen. They weren’t enthralling to read, but I didn’t have anything better to do. My desire to read Harry Potter didn’t changed with each succeeding book. I never became enthused about Potter like the rest of the reading populace. Heck, this 7th book came from the library!

With that said, Harry Potter is very well written. It’s my personal belief that she thought out the core conflict between Volder??? and Harry thoroughly and how the conflict will be resolved before she even penned the first book. Still, Harry Potter is not exactly complex and though the ending is nicely done – it’s no where near as crazy as my favorite easy-to-read Song of Ice and Fire. I suppose the ease of reading Harry Potter made it a favorite amongst readers and non-readers alike!

I think I will watch all of the movies when the 7th comes out in a year or two. I don’t much remember the movie either. Ahh, I dunno why I don’t recall much of anything anymore. Perhaps I’ve reached critical point in my brain’s capacity and every new fact I learn about dentition, I forget something else in my life (like what Harry Potter like to eat). Mmm, with that said, I wonder if Wheels of Time got better…

The Song of Ice and Fire books are awesome but George Martin takes way too long to release them. I already forgot most of the story line… I think I’ll just wait until they are all out and read them all back to back.
