The Grudge 2 (2006)
At the end of the first Grudge, I thought to myself - “damn, that’s some crazy grudge, good thing they stopped it.” At the end of the second Grudge, I thought, “damn, that’s way too much grudge, they’re over doing it!”
So, that’s the impression that I have of Grudge 2, Grudge Around the World! It reminds me of the end of the first Ring, like, “damn, the world is ****ed now!” except, different — more like, I don’t really care anymore. Grudge 2 started with … more grudges happening with some stupid girls provoking the house of the grudge, and people dunno why it’s still so damn grudgey. Then, when the girls went around the world, the grudge really spread out and opened! Apparently, … well, no, saying more would ruin this crappy movie.
It’s hardly scary at all - I mean, sure, the ambiance and the sound effects may make you jump - but it’s not like “damn, I need to stop watching this crap” as Sadako was crawling towards me and possibly out of the goddamn TV set! Still, I think Ricky liked it… not sure why… I think Grudge Around the World is pushing the grudge a bit too far. Ah, whatever…
