Beware, the Phharoooh is coming!

Earlier today, a subset of our dental advisory group went out to 5-WITS for some group fun and adventure. The event was planned weeks ago, and curiously, it rained… HEAVILY! Just like the last event of Body World at the Museum of Science, it rained too. Ah well, at least it’s an inside event ~ if it had been apple picking, we would’ve needed to cancel.

To begin, I think the TOMB adventure is more appropriate for teenagers - since it would have been a lot more challenging to them and maybe more… “exciting.” I mean, the guide was about the same age as most of us (I’m probably older tho), and I could tell she was blushing as she recited her script to us gigglers.

Soon as the introduction/background story was over, the guide handed us flashlights and led up into a rather large chamber that’s “tomb” like - but without all the nasties that would come with the real tomb. And from there, we had to solve a series of puzzles which involved wits. To be honest, only 2 puzzles posed some difficulties… the first being the sound trial and the second being the pyramid trial. I actually couldn’t believe we solved the sound one, but apparently, Alex used to play the clarinet and knows musical notes very well.

All in all, there were 3 rooms of “trials” and it’s all in good fun, but to be honest, I don’t know if the event by itself is worth half of the 12 dollars spent, but then again, I could talk about it like the MasterCard Commercial, it’s time well spent with friends and it’s … er… well.. - okay, maybe not priceless, more like 20 bucks tops. But I had fun, and I hope others did too.
