Lecture 56 (10/27/06 Friday)
Dental Anatomy
- Dr. Exarchos
- The good doctor had a family emergency - hope it’s nothing serious…
BioChem
- Dr. Kate Crowley
- Lecture Notes
- Topic: Dental Forensic Science
Summary: I have to say Dr. Crowley oozes hardcore badassness. She is like super dental detective ! In a given year, she can solve up to 250-350 cases of beyond recognitions by normal means - AMAZING! She can also look at a radiograph and be able to name out whatever it wrong with the picture instantly! BOOM! HEADSHOT?! YEAH! But as long as the dental work is there, as long as there’s ONE TOOTH intact, she WILL ID you! Hardcore I tell ya, HARDCORE!
Physiology Part 1
- Dr. Garcia-Diaz
- Lecture Notes
- Topic: Membrane Transports
Summary: To be honest, since membrane transport was a repeat from ALL our other classes, I sorta fell asleep and missed the stuff that weren’t covered in other classes. Good thing there’s a handout eh?
Physiology Part 2
- Dr. Lehman
- Lecture Notes
- Topic: Gastric glands, and their products!
Summary: It feels like review… but from what class?! I could swear we’ve gone over the gastric glands in detail already, as well as what each produces… but still ~ a lot of good stuff from Dr. Lehman today.

Forensic psych, forensic dentistry, forensic anything is cool. Did you find it interesting, or is regular practice your goal?

Ah, I definitely don’t want to do forensics… some of the photos she showed us were really graphic. I tend to avoid anything like rotten.com, but to actually dissect something similar and analyze… that’s more than I’m willing to do. Regular is good!
