Lecture 11 (08/23/2006 Wednesday)

BioChem

- Taught by Dr. Bergethon
- Lecture Notes

Summary:

Protein folding is the main topic of the day. We went into how secondary structure is formed (hydrogen bonding interactions) ~ alpha helices and beta-pleated sheets. Then, we talked of Ramachandran’s plot, and how there is free rotation to make the secondary structure then the tertiary structure. Really didn’t get into too much detail, and moved into acid and bases next.

Introduction to Dental Practice (IDP)

- Taught by Professor Loadholt
- Went over the syllabus… nothing to talk about
