Physiology – Lecture 07 (Osmotic Pressure Lab)

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

Very simple lab. We first learned what osmotic pressure means. Dr Garcia explained it really clearly. Then, we placed drop of blood in various solution, and observed whether blood remained cloudy, or turned clear (due to hemolysis). That’s about it.

Anatomical Sciences – Lecture 08

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

I believe the slides are fuzzy because the graphic quality of MS Office files > PDF is not set correctly. The DPI is set too low and the details aren’t showing! First section went over the orbital region with gross anatomy and histological information. Second, we went back into cranial nerves (but [...]

BioChemistry – Lecture 08

Tuesday, July 18th, 2006

It was a hot day… 95 during hottest hour! Boston is supposed to be cool year round, what’s happening?! In class, we did citric acid cycle review, then went into lipid metabolism.

Physiology – Lecture 06

Monday, July 17th, 2006

After eating a big lunch over at the bar and grill place across the street from Best Western Hotel, I only took down minimal notes…
Lecture Notes
Summary:
We went into the cardiac muscle today in regards to the action potentials and ionic pathways.

BioChemistry – Lecture 06

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Dr Park said we all did very well on the test. But just a moment ago, I looked over at what we’ll be studying over at Drew’s computer, and it’s not going to be so easy.
Lecture Notes
Summary:
We went over the citric acid cycle today… and that’s it. Pyruvate > Acetyl CoA + Oxaloacetate [...]

Anatomical Sciences – Lecture 07 (Mid-Term)

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Damn, it was hard! Especially when the test started asking if we severe this side, which side won’t synapse anymore. Pain, touch, pressure, temperature, etc – all must be learned very well and I didn’t go into that. Ah well…

Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

POTC: Dead Man’s Chest is a “good” movie. It has all the elements of a good movie for sure: hot chick, cool backdrop, great CGs, and a decent premise. But I didn’t enjoy it ~ hell, I lost count of how many times I looked at my watch, wondering how much longer the [...]

Gypsy Bar

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

1x Corona, 1x Tequila, 1x Rum & Coke, 2x Vodka & Red Bull, 1x Bud Light and I’m in the oo-lala realm! It was almost too much – so good thing I eased down a bit and didn’t quite finish the Bud Light. The night started at around 11 – we walked over [...]

Physiology – Lecture 05

Friday, July 14th, 2006

New professor today! Dr. Moore is extremely energetic and happy to teach. He is also very aware of when people are starting to doze off (namely myself) – however, since it’s EXCEL, we’re just taking it easy and he gave us quite a few breaks during the 3 grueling hours. I rather [...]

BioChemistry – Lecture 06 (Mid-Term)

Friday, July 14th, 2006

Midterm exam today. It wasn’t very hard at all – even if it’s fake, it’s too easy.

Anatomical Sciences – Lecture 06

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

I confess ~ I wasn’t paying attention at all. But like I said to Kev, if I paid attention, I would’ve fallen asleep! So by not paying attention, and looking up every once in a while, I think I gave Dr Pessina +0.5% happiness rating! In any case, the slides are on [...]

BioChemistry – Lecture 05

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

Time really flew by today. I didn’t pay much attention since I was fiddling with DNS settings for the domain change abouts. I’m gonna get a new domain! Maybe something better than rodtv.com ~! So… we went back over glycolysis, then went into gluconeogenesis! Nothing to id really

BUSDM Alumni Sponsored Bowling Afternoon / Night

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

After riding in the most equipped Audi A6 ever, we got into the Jillian’s Sport Megaplex featuring plasma screens all over the places (in all 3/4 floors), big couches, bowling lanes, pool tables, ping pong tables, air hockey table, bars, food, etc etc. Got in, played pool, ate food (not great), drank some, bowled [...]
