End of EXCEL 2006, Start of BUSDM ‘10
The days of wine and roses might be enveloping me ~ yesterday at Lir should/need be the last night of open tab, drunk & disorderly, and walking about Boston past 2 am. I doubt I’m anywhere close to addiction, but going out can be intoxicating. Still, I haven’t let myself go over the edge like that day, so long ago ~ and like then, the state of walking unconsciousness eluded me.
EXCEL prepared me for whats to come in some regards. If anything, getting laptop and ID ahead of time is giving me some more time during this coming week to set things up with ComCast and possibly get a bed! I still haven’t gotten a bed that I can use. Apparently, for $150, I bought a queen sized bed that refuses to go up the stairwell of the new apartment. The three classes: physiology, anatomy, and biochem, all ended rather well - and I believe I took a little something away from each. Though I had wished the tests in biochem and physio to be more difficult and similiar to what we’ll be facing during the school year, in retrospect, they were just right for introductory courses. What I really appreciated, was the anatomy practicum and the introductory to dental practice class.
The apartment is somewhat ready for us to move in. Yesterday, we installed AC unit, mopped up the floor, scrubbed the tub, and put together quite a few furniture pieces. I noticed that on the rooftop, there were quite a few antennas and satellite dishes… so perhaps I’ll be able to install one myself later on too! It’s gonna be fun!
Ah, yeah, that’s about it really. School starts tomorrow, and I’m feeling a bit of hangover now. Things are clicking into place ~ getting a van from Uhaul later today, then meeting up with Sarah to get my twin sized bed, then throwing the last bits of my clothing and etc into the new apartment! More anime watching will ensue next week.
