Euphoria
I can’t recall the last time I felt giddy with so much excitement that I felt an out-of-body experience. Perhaps it might have been on the day that I came to America back in ‘89, did I felt something like today. I remember asking Po the same question not too long ago, “when did you truly felt so happy or excited, that your whole being shook and your mind blown away?” Now, I believe I know why Po and I haven’t felt this way in such a long time.
In today’s Leadership Reaction Course (LRC), I faced fear, and such incredible challenge (to me anyway) that I couldn’t contain my happiness/excitement afterward. I shouted, I screamed, and I cheered with my teammates as I never had since probably elementary school… a pure and unadulterated feeling.
I’m not allowed to disclose what the LRCs entail exactly, but I’ll describe one without giving most of it away. In one of the six exercises today, I had to climb up a wooden totem about 12 feet tall, then shimmy across a big beam without touching the red areas on the beam (at the ends and in the middle). I’m not a physically fit person, and I won’t counter Po’s assessment of “elephant man” - I’m truly the weakest link on the team of six. So, when I got up to the beam, then all the way to the other side… my team was going wild for me, and I’m trying 110% for them in response! I think I flipped to my side, I wrapped my leg on the other wooden totem, I pushed myself over, and my team caught me by my foot, then started pulling me in. I shouted for more assistance, they gave it their all. Everyone were going crazy, since we were that close to completing another exercise! When I got down on the ground finally, it was pandemonium! I felt like the man who scored the winning goal on the World Cup and ran around like a madman with my team all around me!
It was bliss.

Your post made me feel like cheering too, even after the fact!

About time you do something exciting! You won’t get those in the office environment! Perhaps you should stay active in the force!
