COT 06-05 (Week 2)
Another week has gone by, and this time, I give you… a picture!
Now, TSgt K isn’t really your average Military Drill Instructor ~ at least, he didn’t treat us like the average Airmen in basic training. He told us what needs to be done, tried to get us through it, and if it didn’t work out 100% - he kind of just let it go instead of drilling it into our head. We certainly did try our best for him, but since he only got to instruct us for a total of <5 times, he didn’t waste any of it yelling at one student. He would crack jokes at us, tell us funny stories, and use awesome anecdotes! We, the Guardian squadron, were incredibly fortunate to have had him instead of … the other 2. Now, they were scary, even from afar!
Ah, I mentioned it a bit in the last post, but allow me to explain it further. During inprocessing of first week, we were divided up into teams of letter A through O. Now, flights (team) A-E are grouped into the Griffin squadron, F-J into Guardian, and K-O into the Falcons. The three squadron combined, to form the “Wing” or COT Class 06-05. I belong in the Golf Flight, under the commands of Captain S. Another awesome guy!
Erm… it’s getting late. I’ll update this entry some more tomorrow.
