Nana (2005)

When a writer is successful in Japan - the story will have a manga, an anime, TV show, and movie! Nana, I suppose, is extremely successful. At first, I thought I downloaded an anime movie, but something caught my eyes and stopped me from pushing delete when I saw… real people acting. Normally, I don’t like Japanese movies due to lack of believable acting ~ but I guess… something just got me going and kept me watching.

The story follows a fateful meeting between two Nanas. The two Nanas are really polar in terms of their personalities, and through another chance encounters, they end up being roommates. To make a long story short, since I want to take a shower (had a hair cut earlier today), the two of them go through life and love with each other’s shoulder to cry on. It’s a cute story, and though a bit hard to watch at times, I sat through and decide the two hours weren’t wasted. I wouldn’t recommend it (since it’s a rather generic story with fate intertwined), but then I am not against it either… if you happen to find it sitting on your HDD, might as well give it a try ya know?
