Today we went over our different coliform (fecal/non-fecal) plates for E.Coil. Unfortunately, none of ours grew. Then, we looked over our fungus/yeast growth. Those grew okay. At the start of the lecture, Dr White went over 3 different serial dilution problems that we might encounter on the test, wasn’t anything difficult, but still, it can get confusing.

I arrived to class 20 minutes late due to me having trouble finding dry cleaner in the morning. Still, we only went back over neuromuscular junction synapses and the class ended early (5 minutes after I arrived).

Today I went to Monday’s lab section instead of the usual Tuesday because I would be missing class tomorrow. We did two different lab procedures today. A special headset was placed on my cranium by my hosts during a recent demonstration at an NTT research center. It sent a very low voltage electric current from the back of my ears through my head, either from left to right or right [...]

Let’s see…
Lab 13 (10/10) – We finished up with the gram positive staph vs strep identification and moved on to gram negative ID of salmonella.
Lab 14 (10/12) – We looked at the gram positive culture results in Nitrate Broth, coagulase, DNAse, and Catalase. Basically, Staph is positive for all, and strep is negative for [...]

Yup, I skipped 8 lectures in a row! 3 due to sickness, 1 lecture cancelled due to Hurricane Wilma (24th), and 4 more skipping … just because! Ah, how laid back I am and silly too! I will be a better student come Monday the 31st. Promise!
