Lecture 05

Let’s make a quick note here – Dr Morgan does not know how to say carboxylic acid. Nor does she know the that carbonyl encompass both aldehyde AND ketone. Sure, you lack sleep and is tired – but according to a fellow student, he can say carboxylic acid in his sleep.

Lecture Notes

Summary:

We started the notes today with the partial pressure of CO2 in the body and how it’s controlled. The relation of CO2 with acidosis/alkalosis. Etc, etc. Chapter 2 completed!

Chapter 3 is about carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen and the different 4 macromolecules they can make. Carbohydrate, Lipids, Protein, and Nucleic Acid. It’s all pretty basic, and there are some stuff related to human physiology that’s not found anywhere else — but not a lot.
