Fantastic Four
I really don’t think Fantastic Four deserves such bad reviews across the board. I mean, at the very least, it’s average. Let’s look at it from positive stand points — the plot flowed, the acting was tolerable, the premise was believable, the special effects were nice. They went out into space and got zapped by cosmic rays. They come back to Earth, and everything went to hell for Mr Von DOOM. Special powers are given, and each reacts to the powers in a different way.
It told a story, and it’s not bad. My only complaint would have to be “The Thing,” played by Ben Grimm. Most critics said “The Thing” is the only redeeming point about the movie, but I disagree. It’s almost a torture to watch the stupidity unfold before me like Debbie (the wife) being in shock at what Ben Grimm has become and dramatically tossing away the wedding ring. wtf is up with that? She wasn’t the least bit supportive. Ben is super committed to her, yet she feels little to nothing? Golly bullshit. Ben’s drive to become normal, then back to “The Thing” again is also very difficult to watch. It’s just really uncharacteristic and doesn’t follow the flow of the development at all.
It’s a shallow story, and anyone going in to the theatre knows this. Fantastic Four never wants to be Oscar contender, the director knows the story’s place in the food chain and I’m fine with it. One last thing — Jessica Alba is not that hot. Nicole Kidman, 14 years her senior, is sexier. Jennifer Esposito, 8 years her senior, is sexier. Adriana Lima, same age, is sexier.

I haven’t seen the movie… but I absolutely do not agree with you about Jessica Alba not being sexy.. don’t you remember her in Sin City? She was gorgeous!!! Those other ladies you mentioned are smoking hot as well. I would marry any of them. =)
