Best Buy, I loved thee ~
A long time ago, I used to frequent Best Buy for every single computing/gaming/electronic needs, but it hasn’t been the case for years now. It’s unfortunate, but online shopping and comparisons turned Best Buy into a what seem like a price gouging upscale warehouse. They won’t match prices you find online, only other stores. Circuit City knew this will be a problem, so they’ve started matching prices with online stores (though I’ve never done it). Whenever anyone wants to buy something from BestBuy, I would always suggest, “Go online to check out the prices first!”
Last night, my router broke for some unknown reason. Its function as a router is simply no more, and I no longer had a firewall for protection. Because a router is extremely important to me, I must have a new one quick as possible! Ordering online means a waiting period of at least 2 days, and buying at Best Buy means paying a premium. So, I did what I’ve done many times before (except I’m sharing this with you folks so you guys can be cheapasses like me), I went and bought a Netgear WGT624 at Best Buy for 95 dollars including tax (with 30 dollars rebate), and I went online to NewEgg.com and bought another Netgear WGT624 for 70 dollars including tax (with 20 dollars rebate). After the rebate, I saved 15 dollars by going online to shop! That might not look a lot, but that’s 5 spaghetti meals right there.
After my NewEgg’s order arrive, I’d return a brand spankin new package to BestBuy, and no one would be the wiser =)

You went through all that trouble to save $15…. no way I would so something like that. Although you can probably figure out how to use the best buy rebate instead of the newegg… that would make it $25….

How can I make it $25? That’s impossible! You only get one UPC code from za box ya know ~!
