House of Flying Daggers

For some reason, I really wanted to see House of Flying Daggers. Maybe it’s the cool commercials that I saw in passing, or something I read about it. I finally got a chance to see it yesterday and it was … … okay.

The House of Flying Daggers is an anti-corrupt-government organization where they rob the rich and give to poor… as well as slaughter evil government officials. For a long time, the government wants to rid themselves of the House, but they can never find them. When a local magistrate suspect that a local show girl is a member, they begin to set a trap to get her!

The local show girl, Mei, revealed herself in due time, and after she is rounded up, they tried to extract information from her. But with her little pouty lips tightly shut, they devised a great idea of setting her free and following her back to the Flying Dagger.

There are bunch of plot twists and the core of the story is the romantic triangle between the two local magistrate and lil Mei. It’s done pretty well, but – man, they need to stop trying to poke her with their little sticks. *mutters*
